چکیده

We report on transport properties of the vortex lattice in fine, round NbTi wires fabricated by a novel wire-drawing process. The voltage onset in the isothermal I-V characteristic is sharp for thick wires sd $ 1 mmd at 4.2 K and 6 T, but is rounded for thinner wires. The thinnest wires also display an Ohmic resistivity at low current densities. This linear resistivity decreases exponentially with temperature near TcsHd and approaches a constant value at low temperatures. We explain our results as finite size effects of the thermal and quantum collective creep of vortex lines.

Nonlocal Resistivity in the Fluctuation Region of Thin Superconducting Film

The nonlocal resistivity in fluctuation region of thin superconducting films is observed and investigated. It is supposed that the observed non-local resistivity is caused by a difference of distribution laws of normal and superconducting current density. The measurements show that the nonlocal resistivity is suppressed in low magnetic field. The obtained results are interpreted as the absence ...

Vortex ordering in fully-frustrated superconducting systems with dice lattice

The structure and the degeneracy of the ground state of a fully-frustrated XY -model are investigated for the case of a dice lattice geometry. The results are applicable for the description of Josephson junction arrays and thin superconducting wire networks in the external magnetic field providing halfinteger number of flux quanta per plaquette. The mechanisms of disordering of vortex pattern i...

Topological defects in the random-field XY model and the pinned vortex lattice to vortex glass transition in type-II superconductors.

As a simplified model of randomly pinned vortex lattices or charge-density waves, we study the random-field XY model on square (d = 2) and simple cubic (d = 3) lattices. We verify in Monte Carlo simulations, that the average spacing between topological defects (vortices) diverges more strongly than the Imry-Ma pinning length as the random field strength, H, is reduced. We suggest that for d = 3...

Numerical Study of the Anisotropic Properties of Vortex Motion in Superconducting Films with a Periodic Lattice of De ects

The anisotropic e ects on the dynamical phases of a vortex lattice driven by a uniform Lorentz force are investigated by numerical simulations. A square array of columnar defects is represented by a periodic pinning potential. We assume that ow is elastic, so that the vortex-vortex interactions can be represented by elastic forces. V-I characteristics and mean-square displacements and velocitie...

OFFPRINT Scanning tunneling spectroscopic evidence for magnetic-field–induced microscopic orders in the high-Tc superconductor YBa2Cu3O7−δ

We report spatially resolved tunneling spectroscopic evidence for field-induced microscopic orders in the high-Tc superconductor YBa2Cu3O7−δ. The spectral characteristics inside vortices reveal a pseudogap (VCO) larger than the superconducting gap (∆SC) as well as a subgap (∆′) smaller than ∆SC, and the spectral weight shifts steadily from ∆SC to VCO and ∆ ′ upon increasing magnetic field. Addi...
